We are proud to announce the appointment of Sébastien Trichet, President of AGENA3000, as a member of the GS1 GDSN Board

What is the GS1 GDSN Board?

As a reminder, the GS1 Global Data Synchronization Network (GS1 GDSN) is the world's largest data network addressing industry products (mainly CPG and Health). Through the standardisation and networking of 50 Datapools, it ensures that product data content can be exchanged in an interoperable - and industry-wide - manner between manufacturers, distributors and retailers around the world. In fact, more than 63,000 companies worldwide use GS1 GDSN for product data synchronisation.

The GDSN network is also at the heart of the product strategy of the PIM solutions published by AGENA3000: A3 PIM Industry, A3 PIM Sourcing and A3 PIM Retail. It should be noted that certain GS1 standards are also implemented on a daily basis in other AGENA3000 solutions, notably the EDI range.

Decisions relating to the strategic orientation and development of the GDSN at a global level are taken by the GS1 GDSN Inc. board of directors, which is made up of very high-level representatives of the various bodies in our ecosystem: manufacturers, distributors, GS1 bodies and solution providers. A board that Sébastien Trichet, President of AGENA3000, joined in October 2022.

A fine appointment

Sébastien Trichet's appointment is both a professional recognition formalised by his peers, but also the fruit of many years of effort and commitment on the part of AGENA3000, which has made interoperability, in the broadest sense, a major notion in its strategy.

"I am delighted to join this board and to be able to contribute to the strategic direction of the GDSN. GS1 GDSN standards are at the heart of our strategy and joining this international governance body is a new step that will allow AGENA3000 to share its experience and enrich the reflections around the evolution of the network" says Sébastien Trichet.
